ABOUT CAROLYN J BENSON
Carolyn Jean Benson. aka, “Hanifa” was born on September 20, 1949 to Emma and Hezro Alexander in Los Angeles, California. Her father was a minister and laborer while her mother stayed at home with their 11 children. Carolyn’s position in the family was not extraordinary. She is the 5th born out of 11childern. What set her apart from her siblings was her ability to speak with those who had passed over. It was also knowing things about people, places, and situations that one would not expect a young child to know.

As a child, Carolyn did not know that being psychic or a medium made her different from others. She found out by the reactions of the people around her at that time.

For the better part of her life, she was called “crazy” by her siblings. She was often admonished and sometimes harshly disciplined by adults for demonstrating her gifts. This caused Carolyn to spend a large part of her life trying to suppress her guidance.
As an adult, she became a Registered Nurse to satiate her need to heal and a Hospice Nurse to use her gift of helping those who were ready to crossover do so in comfort and with dignity. However, having a husband and 5 children coupled with the responsibilities of work and family kept her so busy that she had little time for her spiritual self, let alone time to listen to inner guidance.
In June of 2002 Carolyn was told by her guides to slow down and pay attention. She did not do so. She found out the hard way what happens when you do not respond to Spirit’s gentle tap on the shoulder. About a week after receiving that message Carolyn fell down an entire flight of stairs while visiting a patient. Her injuries were so extensive that she could not walk for six months nor could she return to work for four years. It was during this down time that she had no other alternative but to be still and hear the voice of Spirit calling her to her true purpose.
Sense 2003, Carolyn has been helping many people who have lost love ones to violence, accidents, and illnesses to move forward and continue their journey in life. Besides being an accomplished Psychic/Medium, Carolyn works through Guided Spiritual Therapy and Intuitive counseling to remove blocks that impede one's spiritual growth.
